Services

Neuropsychological assesmentDr Stewart provides a number of neuropsychological services to adults. These include:

General Neuropsychology:

  • Assessment of neurological conditions (eg. Stroke, Tumour, Traumatic Brain Injury)
  • Diagnosis of Dementia, Alzheimer’s Disease and Other Memory Disorders
  • Pre-assessment/post-assessment of neurosurgical operations and Deep Brain Stimulation
  • Brief cognitive assessments and screening for Dementia
  • Assessment of Alcohol-related Brain Impairment
  • Assessment of general intellectual functioning (e.g., for diagnostic or academic purposes)

Medico-legal Assessments:

  • Compensation Claims
  • Insurance Claims
  • Forensic Assessments (including prison visits)

Capacity Assessments:

  • Capacity to Stand Trial
  • Testamentary Capacity
  • Financial Capacity
  • Power of Attorney
  • Driving Capacity
  • Assessment to determine the need for Guardianship

Dr Stewart does not conduct neuropsychological assessments on children (i.e. less than 16 years of age) or offer psychological therapy. Dr Stewart is happy to forward the contact details of colleagues that offer such services.

Due to the high demands of the service, Dr Stewart is unable to respond to general enquiries about medical conditions.
